      This year marks the 100th anniversary of Karl Edward Lundström opening a bakery in a tiny Swedish village. Karl thought that “crispbread” was not only a convenient way to preserve the rye harvest during the cold winter, but was also a unique product that would appeal to a wider audience. The bakery turned out to be a good idea, because 100 years later, his Wasa has grown into the largest crispbread brand in the world.
